Two Chefs Brewing Story
The story of the brewery started in 2012, when Sanne and Martijn, both former chefs started brewing beers. The plan was to stock up their homes with some really cool beers.
A year later they decided to go all in and dedicated 100% of their time to brewing, this is when the brewery was born. Passion for great beer and endless experiments resulted in the constantly growing popularity of new hype craft beer in Amsterdam.
With more demand Two Chefs Brewing had to grow as well, team-wise and size-wise. In 2016 they launched crowdfunding campaign and raised over 300k EUR. The team grew up to 15 people, bringing cool chaps with great experience and untrivial vision onboard.

In September 2016 Two Chefs got their new home, their own brewery at Moezelhavenweg 6 in the Amsterdam Westelijk Havengebied, with plenty of room for experimentation and tons of fun. And upgraded brewery and enforced team did not wait for too long to push for new changes in flavours and designs. With a new brewer, Sebastian Feind, who appeared on one of the bottles brewed especially for the opening party and named after him "Great Feind", with John Vonk, who took over marketing and communications for the brand and also got a personal beer "Johnny Awesome" there were endless cool events going on.
Lots of collaborations with restaurants and artists, lots of marketing campaigns, such as "Beers and Boxers" - what else would any man desire eh? New identity was introduced as well bringing more love to Two Chefs Brewery from all their fans. And of course lots of new cool flavours, such as double bock "Billy Biscuit", imperial porter "Howling Wolf", black and white IPAs "Berry Black" and "Berry White", double IPA with seawater "Crying Merman", just to name a few.

The journey has just begun and these guys are serious about their beers. They are trying new flavours, new brewing techniques, ageing beer in barrels, redefining a sixpack by offering a great selection of six different beers, hosting awesome parties in their own brewery, joining beer festivals, and making craft beer culture in the Netherlands bigger and stronger. And they are fun to hang out with, very young, open and friendly crowd!
So check Two Chefs Brewing website for new beers and cool events to stay tuned! And if you really love craft beers do check out our list of craft breweries in Amsterdam.
