The very first thing you notice when visiting Hemingway is the attention from the bartender. With a warm welcoming, you feel among friends right away. Nice surprises do not stop with friendly personnel. Hemingway offers a great selection of handcrafted cocktails, rare gins and whiskeys from all around the globe. But it is not just a cocktail bar, this is a place where everything is brought to its perfection and you can sense it in carefully chosen glassware, copper straws, complexity and uniqueness of every cocktail recipe and their amazing blend of flavors, aromas, and presentation.
The bar was founded by Luca Izzo, a man truly passionate about cocktail craft, a perfectionist with many years of experience working in top bars around the world. Born and raised in Italy, by parents who enjoyed fine drinks, Luca got his career path defined right there. From his childhood, he knew what he wanted - to run his own cocktail bar, where his guests could enjoy the best cocktail experience. And at Hemingway Cocktail Bar that dream came true.
Together with Daniel Arevalo, Hemingway's bar manager, and David Jimenez, junior bartender, they pushed cocktail creation to a whole new level. Using cold brew technique to infuse every single drop of liquor with the desired flavor from different botanicals, shifting from bitters to tinctures, selecting the glassware (could be wooden or ceramic) to complement the drink - these are just a few things that distinguish Hemingway from other cocktail bars. And beside endless mixology experiments trying to find next new work of art recipe, Hemingway team is very cautious about the environment and avoid using plastic straws (mostly being thrown away and end up in the ocean, polluting the water and killing marine life).
